Spam Comments - Last Warning

Sometime back I wrote "End to spam comments". Comments advertising websites, products or services have more or less disappeared. However, most of the comments on my blog are those that look genuine but using key words instead of names. I know that this is a common SEO technique but one that really pisses off bloggers. I am really really Sick of these SEO comments".

This is my final warning, PLEASE use a name or nick or the comment will be promptly deleted.

Hi Adam, I know your frustration, I was once in it and now no more! One of the way that I took the measure which provides by new blogger is its "Enable comment moderation" option under Settings. Here is the article link for How do I moderate comments on my blog?
By enable it, you disallow this spammers the instant gratifications on ensuring that they garbages are all over your posts. However, you would have to go through these comments, but I think that this is the best ways to stop these non-sense advertisers on here! Good luck, let me know if you have questions regarding it.

Hi David, Thanks for the tip. I used to have this until I got tired of moderating all the comments - sometimes up to 20 a day from my various blogs.
I have decided to "Enable comment moderation" for a few of my more popular blogs to stop these spam comments.

LOL, yea, with your SEO friendly blogs, no doubt that you are getting lots of exposure. Right, moderating 20+ spam comments a day can mean lots of time wasted, but by cutting these spammers off your blog for long term and while keeping your nice blogs clean and meaningful would be worthy of the try. You have a good one.
