Unboxing and review of the Baby-G BGA-200PD-7BER ladies watch

My daughter is going off to her first ever camp and we decided to give her a present - a new watch to replace her old Casio MQ 24.

We decided on the Baby G, the ladies version of the G Shock and found the only analog + digital model they had on offer on Amazon, the Casio Baby-G BGA-200PD-7BER Ladies Watch

The Baby G is like the G Shock but targeted at the female segment. This is the first time I have actually come across an analogue model. It came in a nice tin box.

It is white in colour, with a square case and resin straps. The watch is shock and water resistant (up to 100m). The small window at the 9 position shows the seconds while the other window at the bottom shows the day and date. You also use it to set them time, alarms and also to use the chronograph functions.

There are four buttons: the left bottom one is to change the modes while the one on the left top is used to adjust. The light button is the one on the top right while the bottom right button is used to change between the time and day/ date display. The arms of the watch changes automatically once you set the time zone and the time.

My daughter was of course delighted and I let her do the unboxing this time and her first video review.

Motorola Moto E - best affordable smart phone

Following up their success with the Moto G, Motorola recently launched the affordably priced Moto E.

You can now get it Sim free for only £89.95 & FREE Delivery from Amazon UK.

Despite the price, the Moto E is loaded with several features seen in more expensive phones including high-resolution, 4.3" display which is made of Corning® Gorilla® glass and is water-resistant.

The processor is not the most powerful but enough to multitask - it is powered by a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor and 1GB RAM and runs the latest Android OS - Android 4.4 also known as KitKat.

As for memory, the Moto E has 4GB internal memory  which can be expanded up to 32GB.

I guess the only thing that is going to put off a lot of people, especially those who love to take selfies is the the fact that it has only one rear 5 megapixel camera.

Clearly targeted at a younger generation, the Moto E allows you to customise the look of the phone using interchangeable backs - called Motorola Shells, which comes in several colours.

Motorola does not give much details about the battery life, but says that it will run for up to 24 hours on mixed usage.
